What's new in CYDI
Last updated: 28 September 2026
CYDI is made by two people and updated often. This page lists what has changed for players, newest first. For how the game itself works, see How to play.
September 2026
- 28 September - Every challenge page now explains its own shape on screen: what the target is judged on and the mistakes memory makes with it, with links on to related challenges. Five of them - the circle, the owl, the pig, the snail and the bear - go further: how the scorer weighs each part of the shape, a scored example of its most common mistake, and three practice drills.
- 27 September - The privacy policy was updated, and a new page explains how to ask for your data to be deleted.
- 25 September - Draw a gear from memory: an eight-toothed cog, and the one challenge where the count is the hard part.
- 24 September - Draw a triangle from memory.
- 23 September - Draw a lightning bolt from memory.
- 22 September - Draw a snail from memory.
- 21 September - Draw a pig from memory.
- 20 September - Draw an owl from memory.
- 19 September - Draw a bear from memory.
- 18 September - Drawing Challenges, one page listing every single-shape challenge, arrived together with the dog and the cat.
August 2026
- 28 August - How to play, About, Contact and Terms pages, and a visual refresh of the Android app.
- 23 August - Play Together: live rooms for two to eight players, all drawing the same shape at once. The same day, 2 Players - pass-and-play for two people on one device - and a mode selector on the home screen.
- 20 August - Draw a perfect star and draw a perfect heart.
- 19 August - A shorter start for new players - one "Start here" pointer instead of a five-step introduction - and higher-contrast colours wherever text was hard to read.
- 7 August - Dark mode, with a Light/Dark switch in Settings.
